MT-ILC-MM / REVISION-SPECIFIC COMPARISON

Honeywell Model 31, Interface WMC & HBK U9C alternatives

These three original families belong in an axial stud-interface review, but their dimensions and measurement chains differ. Keep the original order code, output version and calibration record together.

ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER REFERENCE

Identify the original part before choosing the replacement.

The dimensions and capacities below describe the cited original documents. The proposed MT-ILC drawing, electrical map and calibration scope are supplied for a separate approval.

FIT CHECK 01

Load interface and mounting stack

Model 31 threads and body dimensions change with range. Include termination and any balance or calibration-memory module when defining the replacement.

FIT CHECK 02

Termination, clearance and variant

Interface WMC has US and metric variants and capacity-dependent geometry. Copy the complete code and original dimensional row into the mechanical comparison.

FIT CHECK 03

Range, protection and system behavior

HBK U9C raw bridge, analog-conditioned and IO-Link variants are different electrical interfaces. A four-wire mV/V wiring map cannot be reused for an IO-Link or powered transmitter.

BRIDGE / CONDITIONER / CONTROLLER

Match the signal chain as well as the thread.

Review whether the existing PLC reads a raw bridge, analog engineering units or a digital protocol. Match power, pinout, polarity, scaling, filter/update delay and the commissioning zero/span procedure.

Ask for a drawing-led comparison record.

  1. Original order code, drawing revision and calibration record.
  2. Proposed MT-ILC interfaces, envelope and cable/connector definition.
  3. Side-by-side excitation, sensitivity, polarity, units and output scaling.
  4. Calibration points, serial association, prototype quantity and quoted lead time.

Original-brand prices and delivery dates change by item and configuration. Request a current quote; no universal saving or interchangeability percentage is assumed.

Resolve the fit, signal and calibration questions.

Can all three brands use the same replacement pinout?

No. Obtain the wiring and output definition for the exact original version, then specify the proposed cable or connector pin-by-pin.

Will an existing calibration certificate remain valid after a change?

A replacement changes the measurement chain. Request a serial-linked calibration scope for the supplied sensor and conditioner, and define the system acceptance check.
